One of my favorite things in the world to do is go to concerts. I’ve been to many over the years and always keep my ticket stubs when possible. One concert I went to had been rescheduled so they collected everybody’s tickets at the door and didn’t let us keep them. Another concert we got refunds because the venue was so horrible! They took are tickets for those, too. For awhile I just kept them in this scrapbook that my grandmother had given me one year for Christmas. It wasn’t ideal because I had to tape them down. Then one year, my friend who I’ve gone to most concerts with got me an awesome gift!
A concert ticket book! It was exactly what I wanted but didn’t know that they made such a thing. She personalized the front and back covers for me.
I have updated the back cover since she gave it to me because I’ve been to many concerts after the last date that shows on this page. But of course I lost the paper. I’m still transferring files from my old laptop to my new desktop but when I do come across it I will be able to print it and update the shows. Since the U2 concert I’ve seen Zoe Keating, Jane’s Addiction, Coldplay, Rascal Flatts, Lady Gaga, Muse, Nine Inch Nails, Skrillex, and Keith Urban.
On each page there is room for three tickets. In the back section I was keeping tickets from other events like baseball games, Renaissance Festival, movies, etc. I decided to buy another book and keep this book exclusively for concert tickets. The one I bought from Amazon is very similar to the one she got me. The only thing I don’t like about the new one is that the cover is not customizable unless you do what I did and take a box cutter along the top edge and pull out the paper they have in there already.
Some tickets are too big to fit in the standard sized slot so they have one folder in each of the covers to hold those.
Unfortunately, the Jane’s Addiction concert is the one we got refunds for because the venue was so terrible. If I had got to keep the ticket it would have gone in this front pocket with my Keith Urban ticket.
Do you keep all of your tickets for events as souvenirs? How do you store them or show them off?
